Neudecker Manufacturing was established in 1967, and was focused on general machining work. We provided a variety of industries around the world with high quality products and services. These products were manufactured from the part prints provided by the customer, designs done by Neudecker Manufacturing, and joint effort designs with both the customer and us providing input.
In early 1977 through the purchase of another company, Neudecker acquired the rights to manufacture two additional product lines in support of the glass and plastic bottle industries. Quality Control inspection gauges, along with high speed steel and carbide cutting and forming tools were the first step in diversification and expansion for Neudecker Manufacturing. For the past thirty plus years, we have continually improved, as well as expanded, our two proprietary product lines. We have implemented changes in materials, added new manufacturing processes, and added new types of gauges and cutting tools.
The next big step in our continued diversification and growth came in the late 1980’s when Neudecker began servicing the forging industry. We added in house expertise in sinking and repairing of forging dies and running production machining of forgings. In early 2008, after being purchased by Glen Boehm, Neudecker Manufacturing converted the ledger and file cabinet system to a completely integrated manufacturing and accounting software package. This has improved scheduling, reduced lead times and cost, while increasing order accuracy and shop capacity. The ownership change has extended our range of services into the medical and aerospace industries by partnering with the owners original shop, Alpha and Omega Machine Tool, Inc.
As a result of this continued diversification and growth over the years, Neudecker Manufacturing has expanded its’ production capabilities by adding large CNC machining and CADCAM software, In 2008, we added Autocad and Solidworks design software, a precision ID/OD grinder, and an additional CNC mill. In order to support these expanded capabilities and capacity, we have added not only the 25 years of experience of the new owner, but also a new shop manager, a salesman, and a customer service/expediter to our business team.
We will continue to improve our capabilities and efficiencies by adding new technology and equipment, as well as the personnel to use it. In early 2010, we completed requirements and were awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification. Other plans for 2010 include expanding our short run production capacities and building an addition to the back of our facility to add new equipment.
